Which hub should I connect through?
Travellers and travel buyers ask it all the time. The Power Rankings answer it from the flight record, every month.
Computed, not judged
Computed from US DOT records with no editorial weighting. The method is published, and the page says when two hubs are statistically close.
Scores are estimates; places only, never airlines.
How US Hub Airport Power Rankings works
A monthly table
A monthly table of 31 large US hubs.
How it scores
It scores how late connecting journeys end up at their destination (lateness beyond 30 minutes counts, and a night stranded counts as 12 hours late); the table also shows how often the connection was made and how often the traveller arrived on time. 100 is the 31-hub average and higher is better.
Every figure names its source and dates; if we can’t source it, we leave it out.
Grades are checked on weeks the model never saw.
We rank places, never airlines. We are not owned by, paid by or endorsed by any airline or airport.
