Wingmark Analytics

Data for business

Wingmark Analytics measures how US flights, connections and airports perform in practice, using the operating record published after every flight. Our work is for travel, insurance and travel-management businesses that need to know which connections hold up, which airports struggle on which days, and how a day's disruption builds. We publish what we measure, with its source and period, and we can prepare it for a business's own use.

What we can provide

Published figures and reports. Our hub rankings, monthly connection figures and data stories are public, each with its source, period and method. Businesses are welcome to cite them, and we can prepare a published figure for a particular route, airport or month.

Connection grades. GateCast, our first product, grades possible US flight connections A to F. On our estimates from a year of past US flights, nearly 3 in 10 possible connections we grade F would have been missed, against about 1 in 14 at grade A. Ask us about grades for named connections.

Pilots. A pilot scores your own list of itineraries with US domestic connections and reports the results to you alone, so you can compare our grades with what happened to your customers. We agree the details in writing before anything starts.

Where the figures come from

Our model covers more than 4.2 million scheduled flights between 99 US airports (US Department of Transportation on-time data, August 2025 to July 2026). We checked the grades against about 1.25 million possible connections on weeks they were not built from. Our method is published, and every figure carries its source and the dates it covers. We rank places only; we don't rank airlines. Wingmark Analytics and GateCast are not owned by, paid by or endorsed by any airline or airport.
